2026 ISOTOPES FIELD STAFF
Hoshi Mizutani
Jacob Mathis
Athletic Trainer
Physical Performance Coach
Hoshi Mizutani enters his sixth year as
the Athletic Trainer with Albuquerque after
having previously served in the same
capacity for the Rockies Double-A af昀椀liate,
the Hartford Yard Goats, in 2018 and 2019
and the DSL Rockies in 2017. Mizutani was
a graduate assistant athletic trainer for the
Portland State University softball program
in 2014-15. He also assisted with men’s
and women’s cross country teams in the
fall, football in the summer, and assisted
at the athletic treatment center during the
academic year.
Jacob Mathis begins his fourth year with
the Rockies organization and 昀椀rst with
the Isotopes. Most recently, he served as
Double-A Hartford’s Physical Performance
Coach in 2025. He began his tenure
with the Rockies as High-A Spokane’s
Physical Performance Coach from 202324. Mathis graduated from Texas A&M
Univeristy in 2017 with a BS in Kinesiology
and Excercise Science before earning
his MEd in Educational Leadership and
Administration and Sport Management from
Auburn University in 2022.
Kota Omizu
Assistant Athletic Trainer
Kota Omizu enters his third season with the Rockies
organization and 昀椀rst with the Isotopes. He spent the
2025 campaign as the Athletic Trainer for the Single-A
Fresno Fresno Grizzles. Omizu began his tenure with
the Rockies organization in 2024 serving as the ACL
Rockies Athletic Trainer. Is a 2022 graduate of Iowa
State, earning a BS in Athletic Training and BA in
Psychology.
